SANE’s drop-in services

SANE offers connection and community to support people with complex mental health issues and the people that care about them.

You can choose from a mix of different free supports we offer including information and resources, community forums, counselling, peer support and groups. 

And there are different types and levels of support depending on what you need. Our goal is to help you access what works for you.

Connect - We have some supports that are 24/7 and available to everyone such as our digital resources and moderated community forums where you can chat with someone going through a similar experience. 

Talk – Do you need to chat with someone? Our SANE drop-in services are staffed by qualified team of counsellors and people with lived experience of mental health issues who will provide you with free digital and telehealth support, information and referrals.

When calling our drop-in service, your call will be answered as soon as possible, or if we are receiving a high volume of calls, your call will be placed in our queue.

Connect with people who get it, in a supportive environment, open 24/7. It’s moderated by mental health professionals, but the real support comes from connecting with one another.

What can SANE do for you?

SANE provides peer support, counselling, support, information and referrals to adults who identify as having a complex mental health issue, complex trauma or high levels of psychological distress. We also provide support to the family or friends who care about them.

You can reach our team of counsellors by phone, email or web chat from 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday AEST.

You can reach our community of peers through the SANE Forums 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and our moderators are there in the background keeping things safe.
