In tough times it's important to be heard. Our free counselling service supports people affected by complex mental health issues. We also talk to friends, family members and health professionals about their concerns.

How to get started

Counsellors are available via phone, web chat or email from 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday AEST/AEDT. (Opening hours in your timezone)

What to expect

You’ll talk one-on-one with a non-judgmental counsellor. This will be a single, confidential session. We'll explore what's challenging and can give you ideas for longer-term help.

Language translation services

Translating and interpreting

If English is not your first language call the free Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450. Ask for your preferred language. When connected to an interpreter, ask to speak to the SANE Helpline on 1800 187 263.
