Employing a just-in-time adaptive care early intervention approach for a transformational change in the way mental illness is observed, managed and followed up: The Actionable Intime Insights (AI2) Study
We are recruiting participants (18+) with complex mental illness on antipsychotic medication, anywhere in Australia, for a research project called the Actionable Intime Insights (AI2).
AI2 is a web-based application for healthcare professionals and consumers designed to support better mental health for people with complex mental health conditions.
The research explores whether the Medicare billing data (pharmacy scripts and medical appointments) in My Health Record, can be used to detect when someone needs support between medical appointments. You will need a mobile phone to participate.
To participate you will need to go to the AI2 website, read the information, and consent to participate. You will have to enter your personal information and information from your Medicare card. You will be randomly allocated to either the study group or the control group.
All participants will have access to the platform to view their medication and appointment history. Only study participants may receive a text if AI2 detects changes in the patterns in the Medicare data of participants. At the end of the study you will also be asked to fill out an online survey.
Recruitment has already begun, and will continue until March 2020.
