SANE Australia's online peer-to-peer support community, SANE Forums, won the 2016 Psychosocial Support Award.
2015 TheMHS Program and Service Award
SANE Australia's Peer Health Coaching Program won the 2015 Physical Health + Primary Care Award.
2015 Lithy Awards Finalist – Excellence in Customer Satisfaction
Voted one of the top three organisations in the world for excellence and innovation in creating and maintaining online communities, using the Lithium Community software platform.
2012 Rotary Community Service Award
In recognition for work in mental health with partner, Entity Solutions.
2010 Rotary Community Service Award
In recognition for work in mental health with partner, Mallesons Stephen Jacques.
2009 TheMHS Special Judges Award
SANE Australia’s pioneering Research Bulletin series was awarded the Special Judges Award at the 2009 Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Achievement Awards.
2006 Best Practice Charity Award
SANE Australia won Givewell’s Best Practice Not-For-Profit category at the 6th Annual Australian Sustainability Awards.
2006 Best Australian Community Website
SANE Australia website won the Australian NetGuide award for the 'Best Community/Charity Website 2006'. The judges said the website was 'a good resource for understanding mental illness, for those who are ill or those who may have friends and family who are ill'.
2005 Best Australian Community Website
The SANE website won the 'Best Australian Community Website' for 2005 in the inaugural NetGuide Web Awards. Judges noted the site's superior content, navigation, function and design – 'a first rate effort in promoting help and understanding for mental illness'.
2003 Human Rights Community Award
SANE was awarded the 2003 Human Rights Community Award for its work advancing human rights of people affected by mental illness.
2003 TheMHS Award for Exceptional Contribution to Mental Health Services
Presented to SANE at the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Services Conference.
Health Promotion Award
Presented by the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation for work in community education.
2001 TheMHS Gold Award
Presented at the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Services Conference recognising SANE Australia's work in fighting stigma.
1997 Schizophrenia Reintegration Award
Presented by Eli Lilly at the WPA Conference, Beijing, recognising SANE Australia's work campaigning for people living with a mental illness.
Internet Site Award
Three-Star Award presented by Internet Mental Health for the SANE Website.
