Rove laughs at OCD
Stigma Files 2007
Thursday, 24 May 2007

On 1.4.07 Rove Live featured a segment that made light of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder by re-enacting a British documentary, making fun of the treatments a woman with OCD was undertaking.

StigmaWatch contacted Rove Live to let them know that this light-hearted joke had unintended consequences for people in the community living with the stigma of OCD.

Paul Walsh, Business Affairs Manager of Roving Enterprises, responded by saying:

'We understand that the humour across the entirety of the program may not be to the taste of all viewers. We regret if you or your colleagues found the segment insensitive, as that was not the intent.'
