Britain's schizophrenic approach
Stigma Files 2007
Friday, 28 December 2007

Bryan Frith's article 'Non-binding offer adds weight,' published by The Australian on 13.12.07, included a description of Britain's approach to corporate takeover procedure as 'schizophrenic.'

The term schizophrenic was used to suggest duality or contradiction.

StigmaWatch got in touch with Mr Frith to express community opinion on using the term in this context - and to encourage use of alternative wording that doesn't reinforce the myth that schizophrenia involves a split personality.
