The Honourable Mr Tom Kenyon, ALP member of the South Australian state parliament, wrote an article published in The Australian on 1.3.07, entitled 'Hot rocks will keep power bills low'; in which he used the term ‘schizophrenic’ to describe Howard government policies.

StigmaWatch wrote to Mr Kenyon to explain that use of the term ‘schizophrenic’ is not without consequences for people with schizophrenia; and that using it in this way perpetuates the false notion that it means a ‘split personality’.
