on 22.09.06 were distressed to read a description of a suicide published in the  article 'Time to educate our judges', written by Barbara Biggs. Research suggests that reporting such details can lead to imitation or 'copycat'
suicide attempts by vulnerable people in the community.
SANE Australia wrote to author Barbara Biggs, conveying reader concerns and reminding her of the Australian Governments' guidelines on reporting suicide.
Ms Biggs replied, apologising for any distress caused and expressing awareness of the issue.
