According to an online SBS program review, modern physics has reached a 'schizophrenic impasse'.  The comment was made in a review of the program 'Science: The elegant universe', which screened on 06.8.06. 

SANE Australia wrote to SBS urging them to avoid using 'schizophrenic' to denote duality, in accordance with the Australian Government's guidelines on reporting.

Ms Sally Begbie, SBS Audience Affairs Manager sent a prompt and considered reply, stating: 'SBS appreciates you making the distress of people who contacted you known to us. By passing your letter onto the relevant program-making divisions in SBS those concerns will be brought to the attention of staff whose role it is to make the relevant editorial decisions.'
