According to Research Officer Jim Forbes, the Federal Government has been acting in a 'schizophrenic' manner with regards to water recycling.

Mr Thompson's comments were published in the article 'Gone to water, out to dry: The politics of water recycling' (The Brisbane Institute, online on 13.07.06).  StigmaWatch received reports from readers affected by schizophrenia, distressed that Mr Forbes and The Brisbane Institute were perpetuating the notion of schizophrenia as a split personality.

SANE Australia wrote to Mr Forbes urging him to avoid using 'schizophrenic' to denote duality; schizophrenia does not involve split personality.
