NEWS.com.au published an inmate's method of suicide at the Goulburn Prison on 30.11.05. The article was syndicated by several NEWS.com.au newspapers.
SANE Australia wrote to NEWS.com.au on 30.11.05 urging them to avoid reporting methods of suicide so as to reduce the potential for imitation. SANE Australia also urged the inclusion of helpline numbers to encourage help-seeking behaviour in readers.
