Journalist Barry Oakley of The Australian wrote 'For a short schizophrenic time' on 09.09.05, when describing author and journalist David Hornes' time as editor of two very different publications at the same time.

SANE Australia wrote to Mr Oakley on 22.09.05 explaining how the incorrect use of the term 'schizophrenic' only serves to perpetuate the false notion that schizophrenia means 'split personality'.
