A reporter for The Australian wrote that the national approach to legal rules and regulations 'is schizophrenic' in the article 'Too many laws and not enough risk in our lives' on 19.10.05. SANE Australia wrote to Mr Martin Beasely, Deputy Editor of The Australian on 09.11.05 explaining how the incorrect use of the term 'schizophrenic' only serves to perpetuate the false notion that schizophrenia means split personality or having a dual nature.
