SANE Australia wrote to ABC Radio Current Affairs reporter Mr Tim Jeanes on 21.12.05, referring him to the Australian Government's guidelines on reporting suicide and euthanasia. The guidelines advise that media reports should avoid describing the method to reduce the potential for imitation. SANE Australia also urged ABC Radio Current Affairs reporters to encourage help-seeking behaviour in its readers by including helpline numbers.
