Reporter David Hancock from The Bulletin described a method of suicide in an article about euthanasia method, in 'Death's cocktail' on 08.11.05.

SANE Australia wrote to Mr Hancock on 08.11.05, referring him to the Australian Government's guidelines on reporting suicide. The guidelines advise that media reports should avoid describing the method of suicide to reduce the potential for imitation.

SANE Australia also urged The Bulletin to encourage help-seeking behaviour in its readers by including helpline numbers.
