Network Ten’s 9AM with David and Kim featured an interview with Australian Idol winner and author, Damien Leith on 7.2.08. Viewers contacted StigmaWatch to nominate the segment as Good News, following host David Reyne’s candid conversation with Damien Leith about obsessive compulsive disorder.

Viewers explained that they were inspired by the willingness of both Reyne and Leith, to make their own experiences with OCD public, and praised both highly for doing so.

In recent years the stigma has been greatly lifted from depression - improving understanding, acceptance and treatment prospects. StigmaWatch contacted the program to congratulate the participants on a valuable contribution to the same process for OCD.
