StigmaWatch contacted NW to acknowledge the publication for demonstrating that point and for humanising mental illness by telling how Spears has had to explain her illness to her children, as many average Australians have had to. The article helped to show that mental illness is real and anyone experiencing it is worthy of acceptance and support.
