Andrew Denton’s Enough Rope special ‘Angels & Demons’ screened on 7.4.08 on ABC1 to an audience of almost a million viewers. The program began at The Mental Health Services Conference (TheMHS 2007) in Melbourne and explored the experience of mental illness, including interviews sharing personal stories. Celebrated author, poet and SANE Speaker Sandy Jeffs featured in the program.

The Enough Rope website was flooded with positive feedback from those touched and enlightened by the show. The SANE Helpline answered many calls from those seeking help following the broadcast. SANE's online poll showed the majority of viewers felt their understanding of mental illness was greatly improved by ‘Angels & Demons’.
