Jen Kelly's article 'Words that hurt,' published in the Healthwatch column of the Herald Sun on 12.10.07, featured an interview with SANE Speaker Jackie Lane and looked at the issue of stigma against mental illness. 

The article was commended by readers for raising awareness of stigma - and drawing attention to some of the high profile politicians and personalities who have used unhelpful language and appeared in the StigmaWatch files. The piece brought attention to the need for all community members, including those in the public eye, to take a progressive attitude to mental illness.
