Peter Dupas was found guilty of the brutal murder of Ms Mersina Helvagis on 27.8.07. Age journalist Peter Gregory reported on the case.

Mr Gregory included a quote from the sentencing judge, Justice Philip Cummins (to defendant): 'You do not suffer from any mental illness. Rather, you are a psychopath driven by a hatred of women.'
