In the Weekly Times on 24.10.07, Megan McNaught reported on sheep and grain farmer Geoff Thomas' 'buddy' system initiative and it's implementation in South Australia. Thomas' program is intended to help organise farmers at risk of depression into support networks designed to encourage mutual support and regular social contact. 

StigmaWatch contacted Ms McNaught to pass on positive feedback and praise for helping to raise awareness of the program - and social isolation as a risk factor for depression.
