Looking after our minds and bodies
For people living with a mental illness, physical health is especially important, yet this often gets neglected. The start of a new year is a perfect time to do something about this – seeing a doctor for a full check-up, and starting new healthy habits such as walking for 30 minutes a day and eating more fruit and vegetables. Read about SANE’s ‘Mind and Body Initiative’, and see the ‘SANE Guide to Healthy Living’ for tips on making 2009 your year of getting healthier.
