SANE Helpline – service development March-April 2015
The SANE Helpline is currently undergoing changes to improve our service.
We know how important it is to help you find the information and support you need. We know it is often difficult to know where to start. This is why the SANE Helpline exists. And we want to ensure we can continue to provide you with the support you need.
As we work through these changes during March-April 2015, therefore, there may be times when our Helpline advisors are unavailable. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

The SANE Helpline provides information about symptoms and treatments related to mental illness, where to go for support, help for carers, and how to look after yourself. Easy-to-read pamphlets and other information are sent out on request.
Information and advice 9-5 weekdays
Request free InfoPack 24 hours
SANE also provides a Helpline Online service. You can use this to ask questions about mental illness and related topics. Enquiries are usually answered within 3 working days. Use Helpline Online for more specific information and referral to support agencies (it is not a counselling service).
The Helpline chat service provides real-time live chat information and advice from a growing number of SANE website pages.
SANE Australia is grateful to all the Supporters of the Helpline.
In a crisis
The SANE Helpline is not a crisis service. In an emergency, see our Crisis Contacts for where to get appropriate help.
