SANE Australia’s pioneering Research Bulletin series was awarded the Special Judges Award at the 2009 Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Achievement Awards.

SANE Australia’s website, sane.org, has been declared the winner of the ‘Best community/charity site 2006’ Australian NetGuide award for the second year running. The judges acknowledged that www.sane.org is ‘a good resource for understanding mental illness, for those who are ill or those who may have friends and family who are ill.’

SANE Australia won Givewell’s Best Practice Not-For-Profit category at the 6th Annual Australian Sustainability Awards, announced by Ethical Investor magazine. The awards recognise excellence in sustainability in a range of sectors, including not-for-profit, corporate, environmental, and the community sector.

The SANE website was voted 'Best Australian Community Website' for 2005 in the inaugural NetGuide Web Awards. Judges noted the site's superior content, navigation, function and design - 'a first rate effort in promoting help and understanding for mental illness.'
