SANE Australia is a mental health charity working for a better life for
people affected by mental illness, through campaigning, education and
research. Yet it receives no ongoing government funding and relies
on donations and project grants to carry out its work.
Every
donation helps keep the SANE national Freecall Helpline open to provide
information about mental illness treatments and referral to local
services.
SANE welcomes the support of private donors,
philanthropic trusts and foundations, corporate supporters, community
groups, professional and local business.
The Australian Tax
Office (ATO) endorses SANE as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and
an Income Tax Exempt Charitable Entity. Donations of $2.00 or more are tax-deductible.
