The latest issue of SANE News is a special issue on stigma. SANE Australia has found that three-quarters of those living with a mental illness have experienced stigma, and that the distress this causes can be comparable to that caused by their symptoms.

The previous issue featured an article on the SANE Book of the Year for 2010. Flying with Paper Wings, by Sandy Jeffs is the story of one woman’s struggle to survive against schizophrenia, and her continued fight for an identity, self-esteem and a future.
