A major art exhibition which explored the personal impact of schizophrenia
'For
Matthew and Others – Journeys with Schizophrenia' was a major exhibition which told the personal stories of people who live with the
illness, through artworks, diaries and sketchbooks, video, film,
personal possessions, poetry and performance.
This was a
multi-site exhibition which also extended to other sites in New South Wales and Victoria.
As well as works by contemporary artists such as Graeme Doyle, Richard
Morrison and others, paintings by Derwent Lees, John Perceval, Joy
Hester and Albert Tucker were also on display. Former SANE Board member, Simon
Champ, and SANE Speakers, Sandy Jeffs and Richard McLean are also
contributing to the exhibition.
